Second-prize winners of the 18th International Piano Duo Competition in Tokyo, Japan, PIA BOSE and ANTONIO PASTOR have garnered warm critical acclaim for their "remarkable dexterity and subtlety", as two pianists "who are in perfect harmony and complement one another ideally." (Versoix Région). Married to each other and long-time residents of Geneva, American-Swiss pianist Pia Bose and Spanish-Swiss pianist Antonio Pastor officially formed the Bose-Pastor Duo in 2012. Interviewed on Magma-Espace 2 (Radio Télévision Suisse) and Luxembourg's Radio 100.7, and featured in Scènes Magazine, the pianists have appeared in major cities such as London, Paris, Lisbon, Edinburgh, Luxembourg, Milan, Chicago, New York City, Geneva, and throughout Switzerland. Notable venues where they have performed together or as soloists include the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, St. James's Piccadilly, St. Barnabas, the Palais de l’Athénée, and Preston Bradley Hall, during WMFT radio’s live broadcast of the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts.
Pia Bose and Antonio Pastor each hold the Diplôme de Soliste from the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne - Site de Sion, where they studied with the late pianist Dominique Weber. During the course of their studies in Switzerland and abroad, the award-winning pianists were selected to attend the Banff Centre for the Arts with Julian Martin and also received precious musical guidance from renowned artists such as Leon Fleisher, Paul Badura-Skoda, Robert McDonald, Boris Slutsky, Ana Guijarro, Alexei Nasedkin, John O’Connor, Bruno Canino, Blanca Uribe, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Marc Durand, and Ann Schein.
